A CCHF invites your financial support! You can make a difference in the lives of patients of Crusader. As our community’s healthcare safety net, Crusader provides care to the uninsured and for those at highest risk of experiencing poor health. Last year, Crusader served more than 43,500 individual patients – nearly one-third have no form of health insurance and most live below the federal poverty level.
We are truly grateful for the generous support we receive from our Crusader friends, board of directors, our dedicated employees and volunteer members who are part of our "Spirit of Caring"! Funds raised are used for capital projects, upgrading facilities, operating expenses, and medical equipment that will ensure quality patient care.
Through the Crusader Community Health Foundation Planned Giving Program, donors have the opportunity to contribute at many different levels. In return, you can plan beyond your lifetime to ensure income for your heirs, honor a loved one, and minimize the tax burden in your later years and on your estate. (See link to Planned Giving Brochure below.) A special 'Crusade of Caring Society' has been established to honor those who have notified the CCHF that they have provided for CCHF in their estate plans. The CCHF established an endowment fund to help us continue our legacy of being an avenue of health and hope to the medically uninsured for years to come.
A 'Beautiful Site' to behold, the "Muldoon Grove," a community garden with perennial flower beds, trees, lawn space, walkways and benches located at the Crusader Community Health on West State Street was developed in 2002. This garden is symbolic of Crusader's long-term commitment to caring for the health needs of our citizenry. Engraved bricks are available for purchase. Consider honoring a special person with a garden donation - call (815) 490-1620 for more information.
